White Rabbit Creamy Candies contain unacceptable levels of the chemical melamine, New Zealand Food Safety Authority and Australian food regulators said Wednesday. The candies have already been recalled in Hong Kong, where authorities confirmed a fifth case Thursday of a kidney problems related to the consumption of milk products tainted with melamine.
I remember White Rabbit candy as such a treat when I was younger... (That and Haw Flakes)...
My parents warned me about food from the Mainland !

Pinkie and Youth in Asia
Our beloved cat, Pinkie, was getting so old, 17 years...
She would just sleep all day, on the couch, getting up just to get some water.. She would throw up everywhere, pee anywhere, and fail to wipe the poo of her butt..
Vet said that she was constipated, not grooming herself, and could have kidney failure...
We made the decision to have her put down... Definitely a very difficult thing, but we felt like her quality of life was very poor.
Sissyliu has her longer than she has had me (not by much though..).. She was a good cat... Definitely terrorized people in her younger days, but mellowed in her old age!
Yup.. that is Brian... in Diapers w/ Pinkie.. (man that couch used to be soooo clean)..
Anyone have memories of Pinkie they want to share?

Jason under the knife
Jason has just left for surgery to have his Tonsils and adenoids removed..
He is first on the board at 7AM in the morning, but has to check in by 6... He may be home by Noon..
Please pray for him that he will not be scared and that it will be a quick procedure;
and that afterwards, he will have a quick and relatively pain free recovery..

Update 8:45 CDT:
Jason is out of surgery and did great... He actually WALKED into surgery with the Doc.. Did not even say bye to Chris..
He is watching movies on the portable DVD but is still sleepy.. he should be out of the hospital by lunchtime.
I have pictures of his tonsils and adenoids...
